Our Owners
Our curriculum is a theme-based with both teacher-led and self-directed activities. Every week our teachers prepare a new set of activities reflective of the theme that include: Early Literacy and Reading, Math, Science and Personal and Social development. Teacher-led activities are offered in the morning and afternoon and are not limited to a circle time format. We complete activities in small groups, individually and as a whole unit. Each child is challenged at their own level and encouraged to participate in the variety of activities offered. You will receive a daily report describing how your student's day progressed! We welcome parent insight and involvement through their child’s educational experience. Infants and Toddlers Our beautiful babies are loved, fed, nurtured and thoroughly protected. The children have "tummy time” exercises, fine and gross motor activities, reading and singing songs, plus sensory activities. All infants are cared for in an on-demand feeding and sleeping schedule. We ask that all parents fill out a Specialized Instruction Form, so that we accommodate your student’s natural patterns of care. Preschool These students are becoming independent with their personal skills and growing more than ever. We offer fine and gross motor skill development for these busy ones. From sensory projects to dramatic play, preschoolers will enjoy a range of diverse and exciting activities. Pre-Kindergarten Three and four year old students in our program will continue their development of letter and number recognition, as well as expand their abilities in writing and phonics. They will begin writing their letters and practice writing their name. We are preparing these children to go to Kindergarten in the forthcoming school year. They start on sight work, counting money, counting to 100, and pre-reading. School Age The children in this class are Kindergarten through 12 years. These children will engage in learning projects, outdoor fun, homework tutoring and free play opportunities. Note: Progress Reports will be given out two times a year for children in the Toddler, Preschool and Pre kindergarten classes.
Extra Activities Throughout the year, the Chesterfield Children's Center also coordinates a wide variety of educational and fun filled extracurricular events. Participation is voluntary and usually a nominal fee is involved. Gymnastics on Wheels Gymnastics on Wheels is a full-sized school bus that has been professionally converted into a safe and fun mini-gymnastics center for 2’s and older! This fun-filled and wellness activity takes place every Tuesday for 8 weeks. The cost is $52.00 for all eight sessions.
Dance with Debbie Wood Introduce your child to the joy of movement, while simultaneously developing strength, balance, coordination and most importantly, self-esteem. The program makes use of your child's natural love of rhythmic movements in a fun, loving, and positive environment. Start your children off with memories that will last a lifetime. The fee is only $35.00 a month. Music with Julia Music with Julia is great fun for children aged 2 and older. Students will learn some of the basics of music appreciation, music theory, and hands-on activities with musical instruments such as percussion and more. The fee is only $37.00 a month.

We were hesitant about putting our son in Daycare, but choosing Chesterfield Children's Center to help raise our son is without a doubt the single greatest decision we've made as parents. Infact, the Children's Center isn't so much a daycare as it is an extension to our family. Garon looks forward to going to "school" every single day, and the amount of knowledge he brings home is mind blowing. We are constantly receiving compliments about how bright and well-adjusted Garon is and much of the credit goes to Chesterfield Children's Center. They have simply done an amazing job with him. We just had another child and you can bet that he will be joining his brother as soon as he is old enough. Ryan and Mitzie F. I recently put my almost 3 year-old back in daycare after being home with me full-time for a year and a half. I chose just a couple of half-days per week so she could learn to socialize with other children and get used to being without Mommy all day. It was harder for me than her right from the start! After the first week, she could not Wait to go back to school! This was quite a different experience than when she was an infant/toddler at a different school. I knew right away, that Chesterfield Children's Center had a different "feel". It was more caring and not institutionalized (like her previous center). My daughter will be in grade school soon enough, so to get that extra love and attention right now is really all that we were looking for and so happy to have found! Having that said, we also got to hear ABC's, numbers, Spanish and whole lot more in the educational department than I expected! I am very grateful to have found such a special place where I know my baby is really loved while safe and learning. She is having so much fun in class and the extra-curricular's like the "gym bus" and soon dance class! A big stress has been relieved now and when I return to work and my daughter is in daycare full-time, I have no worries! Heather D. Being a first time parent i was very nervous and not knowing what to expect when looking for care for my 1 year old. After visiting the centers in the area i felt that CCC had a fair price and seemed more willing and able to work with my flexible schedule. 3 months later i am happy with the care that my daughter receives. I think she says it best when i see how excited when she sees the front door. I am also glad i went to a smaller center because i feel that Laney gets the individual care she needs and i want. I will use CCC for more days if i didn't miss her so much the days she is gone. Laney C. My little guy has been attending since he was 11 weeks old and loves coming to school everyday. The teachers are always happy and very helpful. They genuinely care about each child that is in their care. One of the best things is that the owners, Tracy and Mark and the Director Dawn are on site and hands on. They know the children and parents. My baby feels loved and secure. I can go to work each day and know that he is not only safe and well cared for but he is also having fun during the day. Jeanne M. CCC has provided a wonderful experience to our son. The teachers are caring and compassionate. They provide a safe and comfortable environment where our son can meet his full potential. Kudos to Chesterfield Children's Center. Julie and Jason S. My four year old daughter has been going to Chesterfield Children's Center for almost a year and she absolutely loves it!!!! She felt comfortable right away and even had a great first day in a new place. The teachers are wonderful and we are greeted with friendly faces each day. The student to teacher ratio is low, so my daughter and the other children get extra special attention. We are so lucky to have such a great place at such a low cost. CCC offers extra curricular activities during school hours, such as Gymnastics on Wheels and dance class, which the children especially love, and working parents such as us, can enjoy more time at home with their children after a hard day at work.
